Do you have a project that you've worked really hard on only to find it's just not working out the way you had hoped and are about to give up on it?
I work on a scroll frame and about 2/3's of the way through a large project I realized I had started stitching too far down on the fabric and there wouldn't be enough fabric to complete the project. That was heart breaking and hard to digest. With some inquiries on craft boards I was rewarded with some really inventive ideas from other stitchers.
If you have a disaster you would like help salvaging, why not post it here and see if we can help each other out.
P.S. I salvaged that project by fusing another piece of aida on the bottom with an iron-on fusing. It took a few tries and a little extra effort stitching on the patched area but no one really notices unless I point it out to them.
The project didn't end up perfect, but it wasn't a complete waste of time and effort either. I refer to it as a learning experience. I'm very particular about calculating my fabric now. _________________ Layden With Stitches
